Pink Himalayan Salt is extracted from the Khewra salt mine, the oldest salt mine located near the Himalayas in Pakistan. Pink Himalayan Salt has up to 84 trace Minerals and trace elements. Himalayan salt provides more health benefits than regular table salt and is made of trace minerals that the body needs. Replacing fine-grain table salt with crystals of pink Himalayan salt may help reduce sodium intake and have many other benefits. Pink Himalayan salt contains less sodium, calcium, potassium, magnesium, iron, zinc, and more. 

Himalayan pink salt comes from ancient sea salt deposits in the Himalayan Mountains of Pakistan. It is claimed that the salt is mined in caves by hand and stone ground, suggesting it is minimally processed. Salts from this region will contain impurities (e.g., minerals) that help define the native geological features of the mountains and characterize the physical properties of the salt. For example, Himalayan salts have varying shades of color, including white, pink, and dark red. The pink or red color is generally attributed to iron oxide, copper, or red marl (clay or silt).

Himalayan Salt is formed by the evaporation of the ocean water. Rock salt crystals are usually more significant in size than ordinary table salt. It is entirely natural and contains no additional chemicals or artificial additives. It has all the natural elements as it never goes through artificial processing.
